Eaton Commercial Vehicle announced an aftermarket 430-mm Push Wear-Thru clutch for Volvo I-Shift automated transmissions. The replacement clutch will be competitively priced and include the same quality engineering and manufacturing features of the company’s line of EverTough aftermarket clutches, the company said.
The clutch will initially be offered with 232-mm and 254-mm damper sizes. It uses a high-strength stamped-steel bracket, robust diaphragm design and premium organic driven disc facings. The clutches are maintenance-free, adjustment-free and lubed for life.
A soft-rate damper has proven effective in lowering harmful vibrations to reduce downtime and extend the life of transmission synchronizers and other driveline components. Cushioned organic facings promote smooth engagements, Eaton said.
The 430-mm Push Wear-Thru clutch will be available through all original equipment manufacturers’ dealerships and master warehouse distributors, and joins Eaton’s Factory Direct program that allows discounted pricing when mixed or matched with other Eaton aftermarket clutches.
Eaton said it has been selling various versions of 430mm clutch products in other regions of the world for both manual and automated applications since 2000.
