MATS Pre-Show

Wednesday, March 25, the day before the Mid-America Trucking Show opened officially at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center in Louisville, Ky., the trucking press gathered for media day and the MATS Fleet Forum educated fleet and supplier attendees on topics such as the economy and autonomous trucks, while HDT honored its 2015 Truck Fleet Innovators.

Goodyear's San Angelo Proving Grounds

Goodyear has a 7,000 acre testing and proving grounds in San Angelo, Texas, about 300 miles southwest of Dallas. Heavy Duty Trucking spent a day there in early March observing some of the tests and learning about the company's latest FuelMax tires.

Germany's IAA Commercial Vehicles

C.R. England Opens Second-Largest Facility

At a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Colton, Calif., of its new 34-acre terminal, C.R. England welcomed the local community, providing tours of what is now the second largest facility in the company's network. C.R. England also announced the addition of 10 liquified natural gas trucks, which will operate out of the Colton terminal.

HDT Presents Awards to Top 20 Product Winners

Each year, Heavy Duty Trucking honors 20 of the best new products introduced the previous year with its Top 20 awards. Each product was selected based on its level of innovation, whether it addresses significant industry issues or concerns, and its potential to improve a trucking operation’s bottom line. The winners appeared in our February 2014 issue, and awards were presented at the Technology and Maintenance Council annual meeting, the Truckload Carriers Association annual convention, and the Mid-America Trucking Show in the spring of 2014.
