This Mercedes Actros 2551L is fitted with a liquid bulk tank, and owned by Kulytus Auvinan Oy of Helsinki, Finland. When it grows up it wants to be a Western Star.

The Iveco Stralis regional hauler is fuel by both LNC and CNG. It has a 7.8-liter engine rated at 330 horsepower.The tank on the right-hand side is for liquid, on the left or four short CNG tanks. The range of of the truck is about 400 miles.

Mercedes also had a natural gas-powered truck on display, an Iconic 2530 configured as a waste hauler. It has a Mercedes M9360 engine, 7.7-liters rated at 302 horsepower. It is fuel by 8 short CNG saddle tanks mounted on the frame.

This BharatBenz 3143 dump truck is the largest and heaviest truck straight truck operating in India at the moment. It's the result of a joint-venture between Indian Truck maker Bharat and Mercedes.  It has two driven rear axles has a legal gross vehicle weight of 48 tons. Its 12-liter engine, the Mercedes-Benz OM 457, is based on the Mercedes MBE4000 we saw for a few years here in North America.

This Mercedes Econic model 2530 is designed for really tight spaces. It has to be modified with steerable front and rear axles with electronic/hydraulic self-centering.

This Iveco Stralis 330 was one of only a handful of natural gas powered trucks at the IAA show. It has a Natural gas in still in its infancy in Europe and because of uncertain supplies of the fuel, it's not likely to gain much market share any time soon.

New this year from Daimler is a Sprinter van with a high roof configuration with 7 feet on interior height. It will be coming to the U.S. in 2015 as a 2016 model-year vehicle.

The high-roof configuration allows passengers to stand fully erect with plenty of room to spare.
