Xpedite of Tinton Falls, N.J., has launched secureMAIL, a highly secure e-mail solution for automated delivery of personalized, variable information.

The service was developed to meet demand for secure e-mail receipt of sensitive materials -- credit card and bank statements, lab results, trade confirmations, pay stubs, invoices, etc. Xpedite’s services are used by some LTL truckers.
Xpedite’s secureMAIL wraps sensitive data in an individualized, encrypted “envelope” that is sent as a password-protected HTML attachment to an e-mail message. secureMAIL messages are delivered to any computer desktop. The solution is hosted and no recipient or end-user software installation is required.
The secureMAIL envelope can be customized with the sender’s logo or other marketing messages and used in conjunction with other company communications, such as providing customers with password-protected access to their encrypted statements within the body of an HTML newsletter. Messages can be archived to capture delivery history and linked to a company’s customer service function via a Web interface. Document open- and click-through tracking is offered, as well as tools for managing bouncebacks and replies.
