Mobile solution provider Xora Inc., Mountain View, Calif., has introduced its next-generation location-based service for managing mobile workers.

According to the announcement, version 1.2 is easier to use and more flexible than the previous version. TimeTrack 1.2 offers enhanced capabilities for dispatching and routing and provides new tools for generating activity reports. It also enables “geo-fencing” that alerts dispatch when a vehicle leaves defined areas.
By offering Xora GPS TimeTrack v1.2 on a hosted basis, customers can deploy the service to a handful of users for less than $100 per month, without investing in hardware and software.
Xora GPS TimeTrack 1.2 works on inexpensive, GPS-enabled mobile phones. Many Xora customers, including food or beverage distributors, already use mobile phones, and TimeTrack is used at more than 150 customer locations, including early trials at Fortune 1000 corporations.
Xora GPS TimeTrack v1.2 is available for production use at www.xora.com. Pricing includes a one-time setup fee of $24.99 per user and a recurring fee of at $11.99 per user per month. Additional modules are priced separately as optional features. The geo-fencing module will be available beginning Oct. 30.
