Inland Truck Parts & Service of Wichita, Kan., recently stepped in to offer help when nearby Wichita-based Fleet Maintenance, Inc. was destroyed in a fire.
Fleet Maintenance, which has been a mainstay in Kansas truck service and repair since the mid-1960s, caught fire due to an explosion in their building. As a result, approximately 20 employees were left jobless. Inland was able to offer positions to the majority of the Fleet Maintenance employees, and at the same time expand the services and offerings of their Wichita store.
