Wiseway Motor Freight, Inc., a 136-vehicle fleet based in Hudson, Wis., will install the INTOUCH G2X mobile communications system from PeopleNet Communications (www.intouchavl.com) of Minneapolis.
G2X was launched in June and features in-cab voice and data messaging. The system also offers over-the-air programming, which automatically sends upgrades to in-cab hardware without pulling trucks off the road; free driver e-mail and GPS. The system communicates over a ground-based cellular network. PeopleNet’s original InTouch system was the first to provide dispatch access to fleet communications over a web site.
Wiseway Motor Freight specializes in hauling furniture into the Midwest from North Carolina and other southeastern states.
