Organizers of the 2002 Walcott Truckers Jamboree, held last week at the Iowa 80 Truckstop in Walcott, Iowa, say the event was a success,
with more than 150 exhibits, a Super Truck Beauty Contest, and a record setting antique truck display with more than 170 vehicles, along with other activities.
"The Jamboree is our chance to say thank you to all of our customers and to help the general public learn more about the trucking industry, not to mention that we have a great time doing it," says Delia Moon Meier, Iowa 80 Truckstop Senior Vice President.
The Walcott Truckers Jamboree began in 1979 featuring a few exhibits, live music, food and a small display of antique trucks.
Next year's Walcott Truckers Jamboree is scheduled for July 10-11.
