The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company's Wingfoot Commercial Tire Systems subsidiary has rebranded its on-highway, truckstop network. Wingfoot currently operates 31 truck servicing locations adjacent to Pilot Travel Centers, which will now be known as Wingfoot Truck Care Centers
. In addition, Wingfoot plans on adding 10 new locations in 2010.
"In addition to offering a full line of products under the Goodyear, Dunlop and Kelly tire brands, Wingfoot Truck Care Centers have Tire Industry Association-trained and Automotive Service Excellence-certified technicians, and offer a full line of services, such as air conditioning checks/repairs, driveline and suspension inspections, and brake and air system repair," said Mark Totten, Wingfoot's vice president of marketing. "We also work on exhaust systems and wiring, plus we can conduct DOT inspections."
All locations under the Wingfoot brand are part of Goodyear's fleetHQ servicing network. Through fleetHQ, Wingfoot can offer programs for participating owner-operators and fleets to purchase tires, retreads and service on the road at the same price as they negotiated with their local Wingfoot location.
