Westpac Heavy Duty announced the recipients of its annual "PAC" awards, given to vendors who received high marks on Westpac's supplier scorecard for 2008.


Westpac uses the scorecard method to rate all of their suppliers in such categories as total gross sales, fill rate, marketing / promotional assistance, training and several others.

The 2009 PAC Awards were presented to Affinia Group (Raybestos Products Corp. & Wix Filtration Products), ArvinMeritor, Gates Corp. & Red Dot Corp.

"The support & commitment we receive from these vendors is greatly appreciated and will go along way in creating a bright future for all involved " said Charles Weston, President & CEO of Westpac Heavy Duty.

ArvinMeritor was also presented Westpac's Vendor of the Year Award. "ArvinMeritor made a strong commitment to us this past year & we look forward to expanding Meritor's presence within our company" Weston said.

John Misken of Affinia Group (Raybestos Products Corp. & Wix Filtration Products) was presented Westpac's Vendor Rep of the Year Award. This is the second year in a row Misken has been presented this award.

"When we established this award five years ago I never envisioned that any rep would win it two consecutive years" said Mark Carroll, sales manager of Westpac Heavy Duty. "John's product support, training, follow though and sales efforts have earned him the respect of all of our employees, and he was an overwhelming choice for this award."
