The West Virginia Motor Truck Association has changed its name to the West Virginia Trucking Association.


"The term 'Motor Truck' conjures up a nostalgic yet somewhat antiquated image of our industry," said Jan Vineyard, president of the group. "While we are proud of our association's history and heritage, the time has come to align our name with the times in which we live and the technologies that allow us to efficiently and safely bring West Virginians the goods they use every day."

The association represents trucking companies, private fleet operators, suppliers and other firms and individuals interested in the industry.

The association also has updated its logo.
