Mobile communications provider WebTech Wireless, Burnaby, British Columbia announced it will launch a full service offering for the truckload sector.

According to the WebTech release, the new offering includes:
- Automated Driver Logs
- Fuel tax reporting
- Schedule adherence
- J1708 reporting
- Driver performance
- Remote back office integration
WebTech says these solutions minimize the need for manual driver log entries save fuel, optimize routing schedules and automate fuel tax reporting. The J1708 engine computer interface provides information on vehicle health and driver performance. Back office integration enables remote work order completion.
WebTech Wireless provides ground-based mobile communications and GPS through the Cingular network.
"Our full service offering provides key functionality for the trucking market, evidenced by the nine long-haul commercial fleets we are integrating with. Commercial deployment is anticipated by the end of our fiscal year," said Anwar Sukkarie, President and CEO WebTech Wireless.
