WebTech Wireless Inc., a provider of location-based and fleet telematics services, has announced that Rogers Communications Inc., Canada's largest wireless voice and data communications services provider, has signed
an exclusive supply agreement with WebTech.
Under the agreement, Rogers Wireless will be selling WebTech's Quadrant system under the new mFleet brand through its nationwide sales network of more than 500 sales representatives, plus other distribution partners.
mFleet, powered by WebTech, will be available in three formats: mFleet for service fleets, mFleet for transportation logistics fleets, and mFleet for trailer and asset tracking. Feature rich content ensures there is a product for all organization types, including government. Financial and environmental benefits to customers are achieved through reduced fuel usage, enhanced employee safety and improved asset utilization.
WebTech's technology has reached a level of sophistication that has enabled it to be packaged as a platform for wireless carriers. The result is a complete turnkey fleet management solution for carriers to include in their communications product offering. mFleet provides vehicles with GPS locators that use the world standard GSM network to communicate with a secure, hosted software application that can be accessed on any Internet connected computer. Product packaging includes a rich feature-set that will create a new benchmark in value for the industry.
This supply agreement provides access to the Canadian market of fleet vehicles through the Rogers sales and distribution network. The service vehicle market is currently estimated at 1.2 million units. The transportation and asset tracking market is estimated at 850,000 units.
Additional information about mFleet is available at www.rogers.com/mFleet or call (866) 565-4246.
