Online technology news source, The Register, reported that Texas, which declared itself the first state in the nation to supply free wireless Internet access
at its safety rest areas, is now prohibiting the use of its free Wi-Fi Internet to access pornography. The law authorizes the use of digital filters to block unacceptable content.
The new law goes into effect September 1 and, according to The Register, “will hit truckers hard.”
