Walcott Truckers Jamboree Coming Up July 14-15
The Iowa 80 Truckstop is reminding the trucking community that the 26th Annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree will be held July 14-15. Of course it takes place at the Iowa 80 Truckstop, I-80 Exit 284, Walcott, Iowa

According to Iowa 80, there will be more than 175 exhibits, a Super Truck Beauty Contest, Antique Truck Display; Iowa pork chop cookout; Trucker’s Best Friend Pet Contest; Trucker Olympics; carnival games and a ferris wheel; two live bands; Colgate Country Showdown music competition; and loads of fun for the whole family.
Admission and parking are free. Shuttles are provided from the parking area.
The Walcott Truckers Jamboree began in 1979, featuring a few exhibits, live music, food and a small display of antique trucks. That first jamboree only attracted a few hundred drivers, a far cry from the 30,000 it attracts today. Though the size of the jamboree has changed over the years, its focus hasn’t. It is Iowa 80’s way of thanking drivers for their hard work and dedication in hauling America’s freight.
