Volvo Trucks North America recently announced its 2007 U.S. and Canadian dealers of the year, and recognized other dealers for their performance in truck and Volvo engine sales.

Bruckner Truck Sales, Oklahoma City, was named U.S. Volvo Dealer of the Year for 2007. This award includes Bruckner's satellite location in Wichita Falls, Texas. Ben Bruckner is chairman and dealer principal of Bruckner's Truck Sales, while Bruce Meador is general manager of the facility. The Oklahoma City dealership was founded in 1992 and became a Volvo dealership in 2003. It has 53 employees and 24 service bays. The Wichita Falls satellite operation has 28 employees and 16 service bays. It was founded in 1998 and began selling Volvo trucks in 2002.

MacKay's Volvo Truck Centre, Truro, Nova Scotia, was named Canadian Dealer of the Year for 2007. David MacKay is owner and dealer principal. The dealership was founded in 1980 by David and his father, Louis MacKay. It has grown since from three service bays to 19 bays and a body shop, and it employs 40 people. MacKay's has been a Volvo dealership since 1991.

Volvo's Dealer of the Year award honors each dealership's entire organization and its employees for overall accomplishment and performance. The award is based upon a number of factors, including new truck sales, parts sales, financial performance, and customer satisfaction scores.

Hudson County Motors, Secaucus, N.J., won recognition as top North American dealership in two categories in 2007: New Truck Sales and Volvo Engine Sales. The award in both of these categories is based on performance versus business plan, as well as sales volume.
