Volvo Trucks North America Inc. honored its top-performing dealers at its recent North American Dealer Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Volvo announced its U.S. and Canadian Dealers of the Year for 2004 during the conference. The award honors the dealership’s entire organization and its employees for overall accomplishment and performance during 2004. Dealers were selected based on factors including new truck sales, parts sales, financial performance, and customer satisfaction scores.
* GATR Volvo, Sauk Rapids, Minn. was named U.S. 2004 Volvo Dealer of the Year.
* Mid-Ontario Truck Centre, Barrie, Ontario, was named Canada 2004 Dealer of the Year.
Dealer performance under the Symbols of Excellence program was also a factor in Dealer of the Year selection. Symbols of Excellence evaluates dealers in all areas of operations: facilities, marketing and management, truck sales, parts and service, leasing, and best dealership practices.
Seven Volvo dealers were recognized for their performance in 2004 and received Gold Club honors from Volvo. ach dealership received a specially engraved crystal award and a celebratory lunch for dealer employees hosted by Volvo executives. Volvo Gold Club winners are:
* Chicago Trucks Sales & Service, Chicago, (Alsip) Ill.
* Indiana Truck Sales & Service, Indianapolis, Ind.
* Vomac Truck Sales & Service, Fort Wayne, Ind.
* Coffman Truck Sales, Aurora, Ill.
* Central Illinois Trucks, Springfield, Ill.
* Volvo & GMC Trucks of Atlanta, Atlanta, Ga.
* Volvo & GMC Truck Center of Carolina, Charlotte, N.C.
Top Canadian and U.S. Volvo dealers for new truck sales and for sales of Volvo Power diesel engines were also recognized at the dealer conference. The award was based on performance vs. business plan, as well as sales volume.
Canada:
* Expressway Trucks, Waterloo, Ontario, was named the top Volvo dealer in Canada for truck sales.
* Berk’s Intertruck Ltd., Nanaimo, B.C., was the top Volvo Power dealer in Canada.
United States:>/i>
* Bergey’s Truck Centers, Pennsauken, N.J. was the top Volvo dealer in the U.S. for Truck sales.
