Volvo Trucks North America has opened a new parts distribution center in Jacksonville, Fla. The new center allows overnight ground shipment of Volvo parts to customers throughout Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and parts of Alabama.

Volvo customers are now supported by eight PDCs in the United States and Canada, more than any other Class 8 truck manufacturer. The Jacksonville facility joins those in Reno, Chicago, Dallas, Baltimore, Memphis, Columbus and Toronto.
The Jacksonville PDC is 170,000 square feet, stocks 23,500 parts and is expected to fill nearly 600,000 order lines per year. Approximately $2 million was invested in the facility, which employs 35 people.
