VIPAR Heavy Duty Pushing HDX Price File Library
VIPAR Heavy Duty has agreed to actively participate in the HDX Services Price File Library (PFL) project, and will encourage its major supplier partners to provide their pricing and product information through the PFL.

Through this significant industry-wide program, VIPAR Heavy Duty headquarters and all interested stockholder companies will be able to obtain accurate and standardized files, leading to a more efficient process.
“We see this HDX project as an important resource for our industry,” said VIPAR Heavy Duty President and CEO Steve Crowley. “Our stockholders, our headquarters and our supplier partners all spend too much time and energy on what should be a simple process – updating pricing and product information on our respective business systems. The HDX Price File Library will eventually automate this process, allowing everyone to focus more on our core mission of selling parts and servicing our customers,” he added.
“VIPAR Heavy Duty has long been an industry leader in electronic commerce initiatives,” said HDX Executive Director Edward Kuo. “Accurate and complete parts data is the foundation for any future project VIPAR Heavy Duty, or any company, might want to pursue in the future. HDX has simplified the process, and made it affordable and available to anyone in the heavy duty industry that wishes to participate.”
The PFL is an Internet-based product designed to allow manufacturers to efficiently distribute pricing and product information to their customers in a secure and standardized format. The database architecture of the PFL is based on HDX’s Price Communications File Specification (PCFS) Standard, and can be delivered to the specific distributor in multiple formats, importable to all major spreadsheet and database programs.
For more information, contact HDX Services at (616) 682-9900 or hdx@att.net. Additionally, details on the PFL, as well as the PCFS standard, are available on the HDX Web site at www.hdexchange.com.
