Global Parts Network, a wholly owned subsidiary of VIPAR Heavy Duty, has opened two new CoMan Centers (Cooperative Manufacturing Centers) in the eastern and western parts of the United States. The new facilities will support GPN's brake remanufacturing operations
and will also serve as parts distribution centers to the Vipar Heavy Duty distributor network.
Global Parts Network is an independent company that provides seamless service support exclusively to the Vipar Heavy Duty network of distributors and suppliers. GPN leverages the latest technology to bring demand chain partners together to create business process efficiencies and specializes in high volume, fast moving parts. GPN's primary concern is to continue to grow market share, increase profits and provide customer support for both Vipar Heavy Duty's supplier partners and distributors.
"Global Parts Network's new CoMan Centers will help our distributors remain competitive in today's challenging marketplace with quality remanufactured brake friction products," said Steve Crowley, president and CEO, Vipar Heavy Duty. "In addition, it will help us provide more value to end users with superior products that are produced in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities."
The eastern CoMan Center is located in the suburbs of Indianapolis and became operational this month. The western facility, located in Salt Lake City, will open April 1. New and remanufactured brake shoes and related product are available from the two facilities.
