Velocity Truck Centers Acquires Sierra Freightliner

Velocity Truck Centers, a commercial vehicle dealership group in the Southwest, has acquired Sierra Freightliner Sterling Western Star, extending the company’s reach in Nevada.

VTC will offer Daimler Trucks North America products and offer service for Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit Diesel, Thomas Bus, and the group’s other brands. With the addition of the Sparks, Nevada, location, VTC becomes one of the largest Freightliner and Western Star dealership groups in the country, according to the announcement, with 25 locations and more than 1,500 employees.
Customers in northern Nevada will have access to VTC’s Crossroads equipment Lease and Finance division as well as other customer-focused programs such as Express Assessment and Elite Support Certification.
“We are very excited to extend Velocity Truck Center’s reach to the entire state of Nevada,” said Brad Fauvre, co-president of VTC. “We will now be able to take care of our customers throughout the Southwest, including the rapidly growing Reno market area.”
VTC is part of the Velocity Vehicle Group, which operates commercial vehicle dealerships in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Hawaii. VTC provides new and used commercial vehicle sales of all sizes and types, as well as aftermarket parts and service support, and other vehicle-related services. VTC is an authorized dealer for the Freightliner, Western Star, Autocar, Ford, Fuso, Thomas Built Buses, Sprinter, Isuzu, Hino Trucks, Sport Truck, Renegade RV, Rosenbauer fire, Crane Carrier and Freightliner Custom Chassis vehicle brands.
