Utility Trailer Participates in Cascade Sierra Solutions Open House
California-based Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co., which manufactures dry freight vans, reefers, flatbeds and Tautliner curtainsided trailers, recently participated in the Cascade Sierra Solutions

open house, showcasing more than 40 fuel-saving equipment manufacturers.
Formed in 1996, Cascade Sierra Solutions offers a complete Washington to California corridor approach to fuel efficiency and the reduction of greenhouse gases. The non-profit organization offers the trucking industry an easy, comprehensive approach that enables truckers to meet the EPA's SmartWay Transport program standards (www.epa.gov/smartway) for fuel efficiency and emission reductions.
Utility Trailer participated in the open house by showcasing its 4000D-X dry van equipped with the single-tire Wide Track System. The natural accompaniment to other environmentally friendly options, the 4000D-X takes full advantage of the weight savings, safety and increased fuel economy of Michelin's new generation of single-wide tires - the X-One. The wide track suspension system includes a Hendrickson air ride slider with 6-inch wider suspension centers and 6-inch longer axles. In addition to the 4000D-X, the Wide Track System is available on the 3000R reefer as well.
