The Used Truck Association will hold its second annual convention Nov. 8-10, 2001, at the Rio Rico Resort & Country Club in Rio Rico, Ariz.
(45 minutes from Tucson). The theme is: “Where Opportunity And Experience Converge.”
The convention will feature speakers, educational sessions, networking opportunities and a variety of activities and events.
Among the presenters will be nationally recognized speaker Sid Hurlbert. He will address: “How To Smile, Laugh And Have Fun With Customers, Fellow Employees And Even Those You Live With.”
Transportation information consultant Martin Labbe of Martin Labbe Associates will provide an analysis and report on the state of the truck industry. Founded in 1985, Martin Labbe Associates provides forecast services for vehicle sales (new and used) as well as aftermarket parts demand and forecasts.
Also on the agenda is the UTA Think Tank. Open to all attendees, it will encompass panel and roundtable discussions on such topics as vehicle auctions, valuations, financing and used truck oversupply.
During the Allied Member program, industry suppliers and vendors will offer updates and developments about their products and services.
Other convention program highlights include a golf tournament, trail ride, tour of Mexico with Chef Warren (who makes Emeril look low-key) and authentic Western barbecue.
