The Used Truck Assn. will present the Marvin F. Gordon Lifetime Achievement Award at its 5th annual Convention in Scottsdale, Ariz., Nov. 3-6, 2004.
The award recognizes an individual that has made significant contributions to the used truck industry. To be eligible a candidate must have:

UTA has announced three finalists: Ronnie Jordon, Jordan Truck Sales; Dick Vulgamore Jr. of Paccar Finance; and George C. Stanton, retired, formerly of the Truck Blue Book.
Ronnie Jordan founded Jordan Truck Sales after 20 years in all aspects of the truck business. He sold more than 6,000 trucks to customers from across the nation, beginning in a home office that has grown to a 30-acre site with a 20,000 square foot service center and 32 employees.
George Stanton began his career 23 years ago in Chicago with The Truck Blue. After serving as editor for 11 years, he was named publisher in 1992. He facilitated the yearly Truck Blue Book Workshop and Truck Blue Book Seminar. He was a charter member of the Used Truck Sales Network (precursor to UTA) as well as a member of the Used Truck Assn. and the Truck Writers of North America.
Richard “Dick” E. Vulgamore Jr. has 31 years in the trucking industry beginning at the Kenworth Chillicothe, Ohio, manufacturing plant. In 1978 he began the next phase of his career, working on the dealer side. He became owner and president of Southern Ohio Auto & Truck Brokerage from 1987-1990. In 1990, Vulgamore became an area used equipment sales manager for Paccar Financial and rose to become the national used equipment sales manager. Today he serves as the Southeast-Midwest regional sales manager for Paccar Financial.
An independent panel of business experts at Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, Kan. will review the qualifications of each and select the winner.
