The Used Truck Association has announced its schedule of sales and management training programs for 2002.
Each course is designed specifically for those involved in the used truck industry.
Three courses are being offered:
Used Truck Selling Skills -- assists used truck sales representatives improve their prospecting, qualifying, negotiating and closing skills.
Fundamentals of Used Truck Sales -- intended for inexperienced used truck sales representatives, it provides training in the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully handle complete used truck sales transactions.
Professional Used Truck Management -- designed to help used truck managers, sales managers and dealership general managers design and implement a responsive and profitable used truck operation.
“One of the UTA’s goals is to fill the training void within the used truck industry,” explains UTA Director David A. Kolman. “Our training programs have been created expressly to provide those involved in the used truck marketplace with the necessary skills, tools and resources to become more productive and successful. This, in turn, will help them grow professionally and expand their career opportunities."
Participants who successfully complete the program requirements for any of the training courses receive a certificate of completion from the Used Truck Association.
Professional Used Truck Management, a 2-1/2-day course, is set for Jan. 16-18, 2002, in Houston, Texas, and Nov. 13-15 in Greensboro, N.C. Tuition is $525 for UTA members; $625 for non-members. Course materials are $29.50.
Used Truck Selling Skilsl, a 1-1/2-day course, is scheduled for March 7-8 in Atlanta and July 11-12 in Chicago. Tuition is $295 for UTA members; $350 for non-members. Course materials are $29.50.
Fundamentals of Used Truck Sales, a four-day course, will be held May 8-11 in Cleveland, Ohio, and Sept. 11-14 in Philadelphia. Tuition is $545 for UTA members; $645 for non-members. Course materials are $75.
