The Used Truck Association selected its new directors for 2001-2002 during its first annual convention which took place recently near Orlando, Fla.
The theme of the event was: "Turning Problems Into Profits: Managing Your Way Through An Oversupplied Used Truck Market."
A service-oriented, non-profit organization, the UTA is dedicated to supporting those involved with the used truck industry and to being a leader in promoting professionalism and integrity in that industry.
The following members were newly elected to serve on the UTA board of directors:
* Al Hess, owner, Wholesale 911.
* John Whitnell, vice president-used truck operations, International Truck & Engine.
* Terry Williams, editor, Blue Book Values.
Each will serve a one-year term. They replaced Bruce Jodarski, owner, First Appraisal - Marketing Services; Lewis Nerman, president, Arrow Truck Sales, and George Stanton, industry consultant and former publisher of the Truck Blue Books.
Re-elected as directors were: Lee Chapin, publisher, Truck Paper; Marty Crawford, used truck manager, Waters Truck & Tractor; Doug Dressen, owner, Dressen Truck & Trailer Sales; Mike Jackson, used truck manager, Volvo & GMC Trucks of Atlanta, and Paul Spokas, owner, Heavy Duty Marketing Associates.
Serving as UTA president is Steve "Bear" Nadolson, corporate used truck manager, Stoops Freightliner. UTA vice president is H.E. "Eddie" Walker, general sales manager, Rush Truck Centers. UTA chairman is Jim Sundy, vice president-sales/used truck manager, Nalley Motor Trucks.
Others on the governing board are Justina Faulkner, associate publisher, American Trucker, UTA secretary; Vince Anselmo, president, National Truck Protection, UTA treasurer; David A. Kolman, editor in chief/publisher, Truck Sales & Leasing, UTA director.
Membership in the Used Truck Association is open to all companies, businesses, organizations and individuals involved with used truck sales.
