Patrick E. Quinn, co-chairman and president, U.S. Xpress Enterprises, will provide the keynote address to an expected audience of 500 attendees at the upcoming Faster Freight - Cleaner Air East Coast conference in New York City.
FFCA East Coast will highlight green technologies and strategies for the goods movement industry that improve efficiency, reduce the impact of soaring energy costs and reduce the environmental footprint of freight movement. This summit will take place July 8-10 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, N.Y.
Quinn will address the critical need for a sound national goods movement strategy that focuses on long-term economic and environmental sustainability.
In addition to his role as the co-founder and president of one of the nation's largest trucking companies, Quinn is a Congressional appointee to the bipartisan 12-member National Surface Transportation Policy and Revenue Study Commission. In this capacity, Mr. Quinn played a leading role in developing and recently launching the Transportation for Tomorrow report, a comprehensive plan highlighting how and why an efficient surface transportation system is vital to the future economic growth, international competitiveness and social well-being of the nation.
Quinn's address will take place on July 8. The summit will include two days of plenary sessions; breakout sessions focusing on on-road trucking, marine, rail and cargo handling operations; a technology tradeshow; and off-site tours of the region's largest cargo facilities in New York and New Jersey.
Faster Freight - Cleaner Air is a conference series in North America showcasing solutions and resources that improve operations and reduce air emissions and the carbon footprint of the goods movement industry.
