Patrick Quinn, immediate past president of the American Trucking Associations, will be a guest speaker for the National Accounting & Finance Council of ATA at its annual meeting and exhibit forum March 24-26 in Phoenix.

Quinn, co-chairman and president of Chattanooga-based truckload carrier U.S. Xpress Enterprises and a member of the National Surface Transportation Policy and Revenue Study Commission, will address 150 of the trucking industry's leading accounting, finance and tax experts on the reauthorization of the federal highway bill in 2009.
"Chairman Quinn will undoubtedly offer an insightful perspective on the trucking industry and deliberations in Washington, D.C.," said NAFC Executive Director David Hershey. "Quinn's participation is timely given the commission's recent report on how to fund the nation's infrastructure needs."
Quinn will speak at NAFC's educational session "Industry Needs in the Next Highway Bill" on March 26.
One of two annual meetings hosted by the NAFC, the three-day event is themed "Managing in Turbulent Business Conditions." Panel discussions will include such topics as the fiduciary responsibilities in managing 401K plans, as well as the greening of the supply chain and its potential financial pitfalls and opportunities.
Set at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa, the meeting is open to anyone interested in financial concerns in trucking. A full schedule of educational sessions is planned, coupled with exhibits from several financial and innovative technology providers. Early registration ends Feb. 24. A special first time attendee rate is available.
A full meeting schedule is available at www.nafc.truckline.com.
