U.S. Army Needs 18 More Mack Vision Elites
Mack Trucks will produce 18 more Mack Vision Elite model tractors for the U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command, per a recent order valued at $2.4 million

The order includes 35-ton lowboy trailers for each tractor.
This marks the second order to be placed by TACOM as part of a three-year contract worth $28.5 million, which calls for a total of 152 trucks. So far, Mack has delivered 80 tractors and trailers this year. The models are made at the company's plant in Dublin, Va.
Mack produced 12 Mack Granite Elite tractor models for TACOM earlier this year, as part of a three-year $8.6 million contract to deliver 66 of the models. These models were assembled at the Mack Macungie Assembly Operations plant located outside of Allentown, Pa.
"Mack is proud to deliver these trucks on or ahead of schedule to the U.S. Army," said Tom Kelly, Mack senior vice president of product portfolio management. "Our experience manufacturing absolutely reliable and dependable military trucks dates back to World War I. Mack uses all that experience when engineering and building trucks for extremely demanding missions."
