United Parcel Service and the Teamsters union will resume contract negotiations Monday.

According to the Journal of Commerce, it's the first meeting since the week of Feb. 11.
Talks so far have been about non-economic issues, according to the paper, including the Teamsters' demand that UPS convert 3,000 part-time jobs to full-time. In addition the two sides have been working on 41 supplemental agreements covering local issues.
The UPS Teamsters contract expires July 31.
More than 800 Teamsters members turned out for a UPS contract rally on Sunday, March 10, near Dallas. General Secretary-Treasurer Tom Keegel told the crowd. "It's about Teamster power. UPS won't give us what we want, but we're going to take it from them. Labor has been attacked in this country, but we're going to charge back. We don't want a strike, but we're not afraid of striking," Keegel said.
