HDAW '09 and Northwood University announced that participants in the seven Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week education sessions can receive up to 1.2 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) toward a heavy-duty aftermarket certification available through the University of the Aftermarket.
HDAW will be held Feb. 16-19 at the Rosen Centre Hotel and the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
An operating unit of Northwood University, the University of the Aftermarket provides business, management and leadership education to professionals in the motor vehicle aftermarket through online, custom, conference, and partnership educational opportunities. Plans call for HDAW to offer more future programs with CEU credits.
The seven HDAW '09 education programs are:
• Heavy Duty Aftermarket Forum by MacKay & Co.
• Profit Planning Analysis
• Understanding the Customer's Value
• Essential Elements of Your Business Plan
• Transforming for Technology
• How to Deposit, Transfer and Draw From Each Employee's ATM
• Service Distributor Workshop, Improving Your Operation and Profitability
"Certification by the University of the Aftermarket of elements of the HDAW'09 education program speaks to opportunity for the distributors in our industry to develop and improve the skills and knowledge of their employees to improve performance and productivity," said Todd Kindem, HDAW '09 education committee co-chair and director of sales and marketing at ArvinMeritor CVS. "I encourage distributors to make the education program of HDAW '09 an important event for their employees to attend."
