UAP Inc., Montreal, announced an agreement with Uni-Select and its subsidiary Palmar to acquire 18 stores of its Palmar Truck Parts network.
The transaction is expected to be closed by Aug. 17.

These new stores will allow UAP to pursue its growth strategy in Canada's aftermarket auto parts and truck and heavy vehicle parts industry.

Adding these stores, will give UAP a stronger presence in several regional markets, notably in Quebec, Ontario and the Atlantic provinces.

The Palmar stores will gradually be integrated into the eighty-four Traction stores network and the three TW Distribution Centres of UAP Heavy Vehicle Parts Division.
