TruckPro Buying Auto Wheel and Rim Service Co. Locations
TruckPro Inc. has reached an agreement with Auto Wheel & Rim Service Co. (AWR) to acquire its stores located in Bowling Green, Lexington, Louisville and Somerset, Ky., and a location in Clarksville, Ind.
TruckPro Inc. has reached an agreement with Auto Wheel & Rim Service Co. (AWR) to acquire its stores located in Bowling Green, Lexington, Louisville and Somerset, Ky., and a location in Clarksville, Ind.
AWR, owned by the Bauer family, was founded in 1923 and is the predominant distributor of aftermarket parts and accessories for heavy-duty vehicles in Kentucky. TruckPro currently has 63 locations in 16 states and is a leading distributor of aftermarket parts and accessories for heavy-duty vehicles.
Elmer Bauer said, "TruckPro is a growing force in our industry and with over 60 stores, it can take care of the employees of Auto Wheel & Rim and its customers."
Mick Baird, CEO of TruckPro, said, "The acquisition of these stores provides TruckPro an excellent opportunity to continue to expand it aftermarket parts distribution business."
