Online transportation community Carrierdepot.com now provides truckload rate information for Transcore’s TruckersEdge.net, TransCore Exchange.com and Datconnect.com, trucking portals powered by the DAT Services load-matching database.

Carrierdepot.com is a division of Network Associates of Lynn Haven, Fla., trucking consultants.
Carrierdepot.com calls its service TPI, for truckload price index. Users at TPI-enabled web sites such as those mentioned above select the type of trailer needed, enter pickup and delivery cities and receive a range of rates based on what Carrierdepot.com describes as “historical data taken from some of the top truckload carriers in the United States.”
According to the company, the TPI database is updated constantly to keep the rates up-to-date and “is a powerful tool for brokers and carriers alike.”
The TPI database is available for free at Carrierdepot.com’s web site, which features load and equipment posting for member brokers and carriers. Users of TPI on the Carrierdepot.com site also receive a list of member carriers serving the lane on which sample rates are quoted.
According to Carrierdepot.com, membership is free and available by visiting the website and sending an e-mail to loads@carrierdepot.com.
