TruckingMall Inc. has released a new Web-based container transportation management service, ModalTrack.
ModalTrack is designed to reduce costs, increase container management efficiency, simplify fleet dispatch and improve customer relations.
ModalTrack complements its current interstate carrier services, TrackTrace and DriverLink, an Internet based truck-freight optimization, GPS, dispatching, electronic B/L, proof-of-delivery with signature capture, billing and management system.
Container management becomes accurate with all container tracking history information being available, real time pick-up and delivery tracking with wireless Web Phone message exchange, branch office operation integration, breaking down the work order to internal job orders or B/L level, flexible billing for consolidated or split invoices, and more.
ModalTrack focuses on intermodal and container delivery operations. It provides not only internal trucking operation systems, but also integrates with industry society networks such as automatic work-order input from steam ship lines, seamless integration of branch or sales offices and real time checks for container readiness at the harbor.
Customers and consignees can track their freight through the trucking companies Internet sites. Drivers can search for available empty containers as they return along their route, so they can increase their utilization and revenue, while the trucking company enjoys the Per Diem charge savings.
