Veteran trucking technology consultant Mike Nalepka has launched VideoProtects, an advocacy and consulting company focused on the transportation video technology market
Nalepka was formerly the general manager for video intelligence solutions at PeopleNet and has more than a decade of experience consulting technology solutions for trucking companies of all sizes. With the launch of VideoProtects, he is narrowing his focus to video-based technology solutions.
“The video revolution started with some early adopting commercial fleets but soon video will be commonplace in and around not just the tractor and trailer but cars as well,” said Nalepka. “The mission of VideoProtects is to inform, advocate, and consult the transportation industry on the latest video technology.”
Prior to PeopleNet, Nalepka held various senior positions at TMW Systems, DriverTech and McLeod Software. He has a number of awarded and under review patents by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
“This is an exciting time for video technologies in the transportation market,” said Nalepka. “We have only just begun to understand the power of video onboard trucks and cars and the possibilities for making good and potentially not so good choices are endless.”
