Celadon Group’s TruckersB2B Inc., an Indianapolis-based provider of value-added services and increased purchasing power to small and medium-sized fleets, said its business-to-business membership program has provided more than $10 million in rebate checks
to its membership base.
That membership, which currently exceeds 14,000 fleets, represents more than 400,000 trucks.
TruckersB2B was formed with the idea that smaller trucking companies should have opportunities to save like the larger trucking companies. By partnering with industry-leading vendors such as Volvo Trucks North America Inc., Michelin, Goodyear, Qualcomm Inc., Pilot Corp., and others, TruckersB2B membership roster continues to grow, and in turn, member savings continue to increase.
"Michelin congratulates TruckersB2B for this $10-million milestone provided to their customers," stated Randy Clark, vice president of Michelin Americas Truck Tires, one of TruckersB2B initial partners. "This value is compounded when you consider the value-added performance of the quality Michelin tires and retreads that their customers have purchased in this time period."
"Membership is growing because companies are seeing the benefits of joining TruckersB2B," said Sandy Easley, owner of Dwain Easley Trucking, a fleet of 25 trucks out of Ben Wheeler, Texas. "We have earned over $15,000 in fuel and tire rebates alone from TruckersB2B since joining. Our membership has been very beneficial to us, especially since fuel prices have been so high."
"The goal of TruckersB2B has always been to show the smaller fleets how to operate like the larger fleets by offering them the opportunity to purchase premium brands and services at more affordable prices, in return for brand loyalty," said Jon Russell, chief operating officer of TruckersB2B. "With the $10 million in rebates sent in less than three years, TruckersB2B has provided thousands of small and medium-sized fleets a great benefit in this very tough economic environment."
TruckersB2B offers two types of savings with most vendors: point of sale discounts and monthly rebate checks. For instance, members are eligible for cash rebates on fuel, Volvo trucks, as well as new and retread Michelin and Goodyear tires. Over time, this has added and will continue to add up to thousands of dollars of savings for trucking companies.
Celadon Group Inc. is a truckload carrier that operates in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, and, is the majority owner of TruckersB2B Inc.
