Newport's annual TruckerFest driver appreciation celebration kicks off tonight with the Parade of Pride through downtown Reno, Nev.
Any truckers wishing to participate in the parade should meet at The Alamo Travel Center in Reno/Sparks, where TruckerFest is being held, by 6 p.m.
Other highlights of the event, which runs through Sunday, include a free concert for CDL drivers and their guests Friday night; a spectacular fireworks show Saturday night; and the Best Buddy trucker's pet contest Saturday afternoon, sponsored by Mack.
Throughout the show there will be free steak dinners for CDL drivers and their guests ($5 for others); exhibits; trucker games; and the Stars & Stripes truck beauty competition, sponsored by Chevron.
