The executive committee and board of directors of Trucker Buddy International have named new officers and members.
Joining the executive committee are K.C. Brau and Brad Williamson. Brau, who was elected president, has been a professional driver for 24 years, the past 15 spent with Crete Carriers. Williamson, director of engine and component marketing for Detroit, was elected secretary and has worked for Detroit for almost seven years and was previously with General Motors.
Completing their terms with Trucker Buddy were Don Darden and Eric Harley. Both served eight years on the board, and Darden served the past two years as president.
Newly elected board members are John Clark, director, global brand management and marketing communications with Meritor, and Matt Hart, executive director for the Illinois Trucking Association. Clark came to Meritor after spending five years at Roush Performance managing their communications and brand management. Hart worked for six years as the associate director of the Mid-West Truckers Association before becoming the leader of the Illinois Trucking Association.
Trucker Buddy, an independent, non-profit 501(c) (3) organization, helps to educate and mentor schoolchildren via a pen pal relationship between professional truck drivers and children in kindergarten through eighth grade as supervised by their teachers.
