Truck Show Latino Teams With Construction Expo Oct. 21-22 in Pomona
The second annual Truck Show Latino will be a combo plate of sorts this year, with the addition of the Construction Truck & Equipment Expo. The combined event will be held Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 21-1

at the Fairplex in Pomona, Calif.
Truck Show Latino is the nation’s only show produced for Latino fleet owners, company drivers and owner-operators. Its location in Southern California boasts the largest population of Latino truckers in the U.S., and the heaviest concentration of construction equipment in the world.
Truck Show Latino was launched successfully last fall at Fairplex by Newport Communications Group and Independent Trade Show Management, LLC. The expansion to include the Construction Truck & Equipment Expo resulted from a partnership agreement between those two organizations and the California Dump Truck Owners Association, sponsors of the construction truck expo.
Last year’s inaugural Truck Show Latino attracted more than 140 exhibitors featuring new trucks, used trucks, parts, components and services, along with its recruitment center. Show producers will conduct another intensive survey of Latino attendees that will update research on the Latino truck market.
New attractions this year include a drawing for a Ford pickup truck to be given away the last day of the show, hourly prize drawings, a special Stars & Stripes truck beauty show and live entertainment Saturday night.
Show hours are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday, and from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday. Fairplex has parking for thousands of cars and big rigs and offers easy access from several major truck routes, including Interstate 10.
Nationally, there are an estimated 1.9 million Latinos who hold Commercial Drivers Licenses, and nearly 270,000 Latino owner-operators. A large percentage of the region’s drivers and owner-operators are in construction trucking.
Truck Show Latino and the Construction Truck and Equipment Expo are being promoted in industry magazines, on trucker and Latino radio, on posters, point-of-purchase displays in truckstops, dealerships and distribution centers, via direct mail and bilingual web sites.
Newport Communications Group publishes Heavy Duty Trucking and RoadStar magazines. Independent Trade Show Management produces The Truck Show-Las Vegas.
