The American Truck Dealers association will hold it38th Annual Convention and Exposition April 21-23 in Baltimore.
Dave Barry, the Pulitzer Prize winning humorist and weekly newspaper columnist, will be the keynote speaker at the opening session.
Another highlight of that session will be the announcement of the Heavy Duty Trucking/ATD Truck Dealer of the Year. The annual award recognizes truck dealers for excellence in business practices, industry contributions and community leadership.
A team of judges from Indiana University Kelley School of Business selects four finalists, from which the Truck Dealer of the Year is chosen. Ten dealers have been nominated for this year’s honor.
Among the other activities scheduled for the ATD convention, taking place at the Baltimore Convention Center, are a panel discussion on the state of the industry by senior management of the truck OEMs, a Super Workshop on leadership strategies, knowledgeable speakers addressing hot topics and a variety of workshops. There will be a display of the latest in dealership equipment, supplies, services and technology.
Associates Commercial will co-sponsor the grand finale reception. Entertainment will be provided by Peter Noone of Herman’s Hermit’s fame.
