Panelite, Inc., which makes custom truck accessories for heavy-duty vehicles, has suspended all operations, according to a recorded phone message.


In the message, the Oklahoma City, Okla.-based company said it "would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause anyone." The message points customers to Panelite's web site, www.panelite.com, for any updates on the company's future and on any possible sale.

Over the years, Panelite, named after its flagship product, has grown from manufacturing stainless steel panels to making a wide variety of different products for use in other applications on Class 8 conventional trucks from fender guards to air cleaner lite boxes, emblem accents to tag and permit hangers, and shift covers to gauge bezel covers. Most of the company's products are strictly decorative.
