Truck Remarketing Services (TRS), a Connecticut-based third-party commercial vehicle inspection company, has formed a joint venture with Dekra America, a subsidiary of Dekra AG, an automotive inspection company.
The joint venture will allow Dekra America to expand its services to the North American commercial vehicle market, including its Commercial Fleet Performance Systems (CFPS).
TRS, which specializes in commercial vehicle inspections, appraisals, DOT compliance audits and resale services for trucks, trailers, buses, forklifts, and construction equipment, will provide a platform for offering Dekra's services to the commercial vehicle market.
"The partnership of both companies will accelerate the expansion of Dekra's service lines," said Dr. Dietmar Bogk, president and CEO of Dekra America.
Dekra's Commercial Vehicle division currently offers four main service lines: SafetyScan, Dekra's fleet safety inspections; Quality Seal, Dekra's fleet quality program; Dekra's Driver's Performance program; and Fleet Assessment program.
