Ohio-based bulk commodities giant Trimac Transportation has added the Bendix ESP Electronic Stability Program to its fleet of tractors.
The fleet has also added the Bendix TABS-6 trailer ABS system and Bendix ADB22X air disc brakes.

Trimac added the Bendix ESP full stability technology through the purchase of Kenworth trucks, which include Bendix ESP functionality as a standard option with a delete credit on many of its highway tractor configurations.

Full-stability technology, also referred to as electronic stability program/electronic stability control (ESP/ESC), is more comprehensive than roll-only stability. Full-stability systems address both roll and directional stability such as jackknifes and provides additional sensors and braking capabilities that can deliver earlier recognition and quicker intervention to help prevent rollover and loss-of-control situations.

The TABS-6 system is a compact-sized, high performance trailer ABS system technology designed to meet the needs of a broad range of trailer types and applications. TABS-6 is compatible with a variety of trailer axle configurations and has the fewest electrical connectors of any system on the market today, according to Bendix.

The ADB22X air disc brake is a lightweight air disc brake package that reduces total wheel-end weight over competitive air disc brake packages, provides fast and easy pad replacement, and offers longer brake life.
