Triangle Suspension Systems Inc. produced the first multi-leaf spring earlier this month at its new short-run plant in Punxsutawney, Pa. Since 1919, the Triangle name has been synonymous with steel leaf springs.

Originally located in the “Golden Triangle” section of Pittsburgh, in 1927 Triangle’s base of operation moved to DuBois, Pa. Steady growth in market share and a series of strategic acquisitions put Triangle firmly on the road to becoming a leading supplier of undercarriage products for the independent aftermarket.
“Triangle’s recent focus on core competencies and current business philosophy necessitated a short-run manufacturing facility. After months of searching for a suitable manufacturing location, Triangle chose the former Jensen plant in Punxsutawney, Pa.,” said Fernando Bertero, president of Triangle Suspension Systems. “The DuBois facility, also known as the long-run plant, will continue to improve its output, manufacturing high volume parabolic and multi-leaf springs.”
