TravelCenters of America has recently renovated driver showers at its TA and Petro Shopping Center locations with new amenities.

TA and Petro showers now have new adjustable shower heads with improved water spray, new cloth floor mats, new liquid soap and shampoo dispensers, decor baskets, large signature orange towels and other amenities.

"Our managers regularly shower at our locations and at our competitor's locations," said Tom O'Brien, president and CEO of TravelCenters of America. "We've been around the country talking with drivers at our Driver Council series. We knew our shower experience was better than anyone's but we added improvements anyway to raise the standard on the shower experience even further. We added a number of improvements so that our showers convey the respect and care we have for our customers. After a long day on the road, drivers deserve cleanliness, comfort and hospitality, something that only full-service travel centers can deliver."

In a recent driver survey, well over 90 percent of drivers said the shower experience was noticeably better than their previous TA or Petro shower. Over 96 percent of drivers said they would recommend the showers to a fellow driver.

"We continue to hold our Driver Councils across the country so our senior-most managers and I stay personally connected to our customers," said O'Brien. "That's what customers should expect from a full-service company. We have and will continue to make improvements and changes throughout our operations because of this important feedback."

The company has over 2,400 showers with an average of 11 showers per site.
