TravelCenters of America is going healthy, with four new fit-friendly menu items at TA full service restaurants.


The new "Stay Fit with Flavor" items are meant to offer flavor at less than 600 calories each. The new items include shrimp stir fry, chicken stir fry, a grilled chicken breast dinner served with wild rice and a classic grilled chicken sandwich.

"Drivers have told us in our many Driver's Councils that they want healthier options in our restaurants," said Tom O'Brien, CEO. "Because we directly operate our own full service restaurants, our executive chef, is able to respond quickly to the needs and requests of drivers."

The new menu items are available at over 100 TA restaurants, primarily operating under the Country Pride name for a limited time.

"If drivers like the new menu items, we will continue developing more fit-friendly options in the future," said Thomas Straub, executive chef.
