TravelCenters of America announced the reopening of its completely remodeled Southington, Conn., location situated on I-84.


The remodeled Southington TA includes many improved driver amenities, including new restrooms, new game rooms, and a newly remodeled TV lounge. In addition the travel store now includes new walk in coolers, TA Café Express coffee bar and other upgrades.

The 140-seat Country Pride restaurant was also extensively upgraded. TA operates 127 full-service restaurants across the U.S. and Canada including 86 Country Pride locations.

The new food court added highly-popular quick-serve concepts Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits, serving New Orleans Cajun style chicken, and a Taco Bell/Pizza Hut Express combination. The new food court adds another 89 seats for dining. TA operates nearly 230 quick-serve restaurants across the U.S. and Canada.

The location also boasts newly renovated restrooms and showers.

The Southington location also services professional drivers with a three-bay heavy truck ServicePoint repair facility, 145 guest parking spaces and other amenities.
