TravelCenters of America has reopened its Porter, Ind., location after a major renovation project. Porter is situated on I-94 and U.S. Route 20 (Exit 22B).
The Porter renovation includes many improved driver amenities, including new restrooms, nine new driver showers, new game room and renovated TV lounge. In addition, the renovation included fuel island upgrades and 60 more truck parking spaces. The 168-seat Buckhorn family restaurant was also extensively upgraded.
A new food court added quick-serve concepts to an existing Subway deli: Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits, and a Taco Bell/Pizza Hit Express combination. The food court adds another 86 seats.
The restrooms and showers are newly renovated. The Porter location also services professional truck drivers with a two-bay heavy truck ServicePoint facility and other amenities.
