TravelCenters of America has acquired its 235th travel center location in Morris, Ill. Formerly the Romine's Truck Stop, the 39-acre site is branded TA and is located along I-80 at Exit 112 on Route 47.
At the new Morris location, customers can enjoy a meal at the 250-seat "R" Place Restaurant, one of the largest and busiest restaurants in the travel center industry. "R" Place is famous for its "made from scratch cooking," large variety of specialty dishes, seasonal décor and in-house bakery. Kathie Romines and her crew will continue serving customers within the TA. There is also a 30-seat quick-service food court that features a Quizno's Subs restaurant.
In addition, a well-stocked 2,000-square-foot store open 24 hours, seven days a week offers a wide selection of products, snacks and brand name beverages.
Professional drivers will find that TA Morris conveniences include seven diesel lanes, a 200-space truck parking area and certified weigh scales. Driver amenities also include a lounge area, a game room, a laundry room and five showers. TA Morris participates in the RoadKing Club rewards program so club members will be able to earn points on qualifying purchases.
TA Morris also offers BP-branded gasoline and diesel for cars and RVs, with five motorist fueling positions and 143 parking spaces.
Within a short time, TA will upgrade the Morris location with a number of signature TA services such as CafeExpress, Pronto Pay, WiFi and more.
